Early Life and Education
Tyree Daye was born in 1958 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was raised in a devout Catholic family and attended Catholic schools throughout his childhood. After graduating from high school, he entered the seminary and was ordained a priest in 1985.
Father Daye continued his studies at the Catholic University of America, where he earned a doctorate in canon law. He also studied at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome.
